L'Ortenbourg (ou Ortenberg) est, avec le Ramstein, l'un des deux châteaux qui dominent la commune de Scherwiller, située à 7 km de Sélestat, dans le département du Bas-Rhin. Les ruines du château s'élèvent sur un piton rocheux, à 437 m d'altitude. L'ensemble des deux châteaux fait l’objet d’un classement au titre des monuments historiques depuis juillet 19242, 3.

Ce château tient son nom de la famille Ortenberg, présente à Scherwiller depuis le Xe siècle.

ENGLISH:

The Ortenbourg (or Ortenberg) is, with Ramstein, one of the two castles that dominate the town of Scherwiller, located 7 km from Selestat, in the department of Bas-Rhin. The ruins of the castle rise on a rocky peak, at 437 m altitude. The two castles are listed as historical monuments since July 19242, 3.

This castle takes its name from the family Ortenberg, present in Scherwiller since the tenth century.
